Adjoa Andoh remembers sitting at the bus stop by Wotton's war memorial chatting with her mates in her youth. After leaving KLB her true punk self was free to sport turquoise hair and later to become a highly successful actress with roles in theatre, TV and radio, including Serafina Pekkala in the National Theatre production of His Dark Materials, Condoleeza Rice, also at the National, in the political drama about the war in Iraq, Stuff Happens, Martha Jones' mother Francine in the Doctor Who TV series, Colette Griffiths in Casualty and the narrator of the award winning Number One Lady's Detective Agency series of audio books. She will share some of these experiences with us in what promises to be an interesting and entertaining evening. (click for more detail) |
